I have been doing a lot of thinking about England's World Cup chances this week. I have read many people's World Cup Tips, listened to podcasts on who people are backing and discussed the topic a fair amount.

In conclusion, I think it is fair to say that our hopes rest on one man - Wayne Rooney.

We need him fit and we need him on form. End of. If he isn't, we haven't got a hope of winning the tournament.

Who is going to be our magic man if Rooney is out?...

Last night was the international friendly between England and Egypt. A lot of the attention before the game was on John Terry and a lot of the attention afterwards was on Peter Crouch.

Terry got booed at the beginning but seemed to win the crowd over, while Crouch came off the bench to score twice as England came from 1-0 down to win 3-1.

For my money, Crouch has secured his place on the plane to South Africa. His goal scoring record is fantastic and he showed that...

There may only be four Premier League games this weekend, but it doesn't mean I can't predict the outcome of them!

England play against Egypt before these games though and looking at this one, I can see nothing...

Ok, so one of the main talking points over the last few days has been Wayne Bridge's decision not to play for England this summer.

Unless you have been in a cave for the last few months, you will know why. Basically he thinks that it would be a problem for him to play alongside John Terry.

Now, I respect Bridge's decision as it saves Fabio Capello making another big one. However, is Bridge really second choice anyway?

For the first time, I am going to be doing some FA Cup predictions as opposed to Premier League ones.

Exciting isn't it? Hopefully there will be a few upsets on the cards. It certainly looks as if a Championship club could win it this year.
